Gmail gadget locked up in Windows 7
So far, almost all software I’ve tried to run under Windows 7 has worked without any problems. Today I installed Google Desktop, and everything was working fine until I added the Gmail gadget. As soon as I clicked the sign in button, Google Desktop became unresponsive and eventually came crashing down.
All other gadgets I’ve tried, including the new Google Calender gadget, work fine.
There’s a thread about this in the Google Desktop Help group. I guess we’ll just have to wait until Google fixes this, unfortunately.

It’s official: I have replaced Vista as my primary OS with Windows 7 RC, the latest pre-release version of Microsoft’s upcoming operating system. I will post my full review shortly, but I can say that it’s extremely stable, compatible, and usable. If you want to try out the RC for yourself, it will be available
How to fix Braid slowness issue with Nvidia graphics cards

When I first played Braid, the game ran extremely slowly. After hunting down the issue for a while, it seems to have something to do with vertical sync and Nvidia graphics cards (here’s the story in the official Braid blog). Here’s how I fixed it. 1. Open the Nvidia control panel. (Right-click on the desktop)
Windows 7 bug: Distributed Link Tracking Client dies, Internet connections and Aero with it

Continuing through my adventures with Windows 7 beta, I came upon a weird bug today. Something called the Distributed Link Tracking Client crashed. With it, Aero and my Internet connection also went down. The problem fixed itself within a minute. Nothing major, I guess, but it is a beta after all.

I got my hands on one of the Windows 7 beta build 7000 copies. I installed 7 and have been testing it for a few hours. Here are my thoughts: Loved: Windows Explorer feels much faster. Same goes for the new Google Reader gadget, it just crashes Google Desktop for me.
Looking through some stuff though, I found evidence that they’re working on a new Google Desktop that runs on the Google Chrome engine (WebKit + V8) but it’ll probably be a while before we see that.
